Q. How many associations are there in the Villeurbanne Community?

A. Five.  One master association and four sub-associations including Stream House. See the “Community Associations” link on the home page to view a complete list of associations in Villeurbanne and their management companies.

Q. How many units are there in the Villeurbanne Community?

A. 675 residential units.

Q. How many units are there in the Stream House Community?

A. 166 residential units.

Q. When are Stream House Board Meetings?

A. The Stream House Association Board of Directors meet the third Monday of every month unless the date falls on a holiday or an election day. The meetings are held at the Villeurbanne Master Association clubhouse at 7:00pm. You are encouraged to come and participate. Remember, the manner in which the Association is managed affects your property values. It pays to be involved.

Q. Which of the three pools in the Villeurbanne community is the Stream House pool?

A. The small pool located in the middle of the inter-circle of the community is the Stream House pool.  This is the only pool that your Stream House Association controls and your monthly assessments pay for.

Q. What are the Steam House pool hours?

A. Sunday – Thursday 6am – 10pm. Friday – Saturday 6am – 11pm. Hours are also posted on each gate to the pool.

Q. Noisy, destructive, or after posted hours pool activity?

A. Depending on the severity of the matter, you should contact the Management Company and Police.  Take pictures if possible to document events.  Do not confront if you feel threatened.

Q. How do I replace a lost or stolen pool key card?

A. Replacement pool key cards may be obtained from the Association Management Company for $100.00. Notify the management company of missing pool key cards even if you choose not to purchase a replacement key card. You will remain liable for any damages to the pool area by persons obtaining access with your card. If you find a key card, please mail it to the Management Company, give it to a Board of Director, or bring it to the next BOD meeting.

Q. My condo unit address number light is on during the day.  Who do I contact to correct this?

A. Condo unit address number lights are hard wired into the home’s electrical system.  This low voltage light can not be turned off.  The light remains on 24/7. If your unit number light is not working, the association is responsible for replacing the light bulb.  However, in most cases the issue is a burned out fuse which is typically located within the units interior walls.  Fuse replacement is homeowner responsibility.  Contact the management company or come to a monthly meeting if you need assistance locating the fuse.

Q. What replacement garage doors are approved?

A. A Marathon Garage Door was selected by the Board of Directors in 2001 as an approved option to replace the original wooden one piece doors.  Since then, the Marathon manufacture has gone out of business.  The BOD has yet to select another garage door manufacturer.  If you are interested in replacing your garage door, please contact the Management Company for the most current update on this matter.

Q. Front Door Replacement and Color

A. Specifications for the approved replacement door can be found in the Architecture Committee section of this website. The only approved front door color is BLUE. Contact the Management Company to schedule your door painting at no cost.  Your front door is considered your responsibility to maintain and replace.  However the painting of the exterior surface is the association’s responsibility. (Note – from 2003-2011 red and stained door colors where approved by the board. In 2012 by homeowner demand, the board voted to return to the one blue color scheme.  Doors painted red or stained may remain as is until the next exterior painting project of the buildings currently scheduled 2018/2019.)

Q. Window Replacement

A. Specifications for window replacement can be found in the Architecture Committee section of this website. Before installing new windows you must submit an Architectural Change Application to the Stream House Board of Directors and receive an approval. Failure to obtain the Boards approval first may result in a fine and/or a requirement to replace your new windows with Board approved windows at your expense. (Pay attention to the approved color of the frame!)

Q. How do I obtain a lost or broken Parking Tag replacement?

A. If broken, you may exchange the broken parking tag for a new one at no cost. Replacement of a lost parking tag will cost $100.00. Each unit may only have one parking tag. Contact the Management Company for replacement parking tags.

Q. Mail Box Problems?

A. If your mailbox is not functioning properly or you need a replacement key, you need to contact the United States Postal Service. USPS charges about $30 to replace locks. You may also purchase a replacement mailbox lock at your local hardware store and install it yourself. Cost is about $5. The Management Company and Association do not have access to mailboxes.

Q. Who do I report a non-operating light to within Stream House?

A. Please contact the Management Company with the specific location of the light. Contract labor replace light bulbs during the day when the lights are not on. If you provide poor details, it may take several attempts to replace the correct light bulb.

Q. Got subterranean termites?

A. Stream House Association uses Newport Pest Control to provide inspections at no cost. The association provides treatment relating to subterranean termites at not cost to homeowners.  Contact the Management Company to schedule an appointment with Newport Pest Control for your subterranean termites. (Note – Newport Pest Control can only treat, by law, when there is evidence of pests. If they see no pests or damage by pests, they will not be able to treat the area.)

Q. Do you have a large item (stove, hot water heater, laundry machine, etc.) for CR&R to pick up?

A. Contact the management company to arrange for a pickup day. Do not place the large item outside until the day of the pickup. Each unit is allowed one large item pickup per twelve (12) consecutive months at no cost. If you see that someone left a bulk item by the dumpster (most commonly seen are grills, mattresses, sofas, and christmas trees) please notify the management company to arrange a pickup on behalf of your neighbor.  Do NOT place the bulk item in the dumpster!

Note – Computers, monitors, televisions, batteries, and other electronic items are considered hazardous waste and are not be placed in dumpsters by law.  Hazardous waste items must be disposed of “properly”.  There are several disposal sites in our area.  Many organizations and businesses have free collection events.  A quick internet search will provide you with options.
